Autism and Inclusion Training for Families, Teachers, and Community Partners

February 19 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm PST

Free

Unlock the Power of Inclusion

In this session, we will:

  • Examine the transition from the traditional medical model of disability to the empowering social model, which emphasizes inclusion, self-determination, and societal support rather than focusing solely on deficits or impairments of a person.
  • Embrace a collaborative approach with community partners and neurodivergent individuals to create inclusive environments that enhance social communication and understanding.
  • Explore strategies to help neurodivergent individuals navigate social norms, recognize the consequences of their actions, and make positive, informed choices, ultimately supporting their successful participation in society.

Strategies learned in this class can also be employed to support people with FAS, TBI, and others facing barriers to social inclusion in our community.

This training is for families, teachers, and community partners.
