SUMMARY:Sea to Sound (Ian's Ride)
DESCRIPTION:Sea To Sound is a 74-mile\, three-day\, multi-modal group ride spanning the entire length of the Olympic Discovery Trail. It is also a fundraising opportunity for Ian’s Ride\, a 501(c)3 nonprofit in the State of Washington.  The Olympic Peninsula is the farthest northwest expanse of land one can explore along the US coast. This alone would be enough to motivate many to see it\, and for the rest of us\, there’s also this amazing trail! \nWe will offer aid stations and support along the entire route for our event.  Wheelchair users are strongly encouraged!  We will support you. Just tell us what you will need.  We recognize the challenges of Covid-19 and social distancing may continue in 2022.  We plan to keep well separated during the ride\, and our aid stations will offer single-use items that will be distributed safely by our volunteers who will all have masks and gloves. \nLearn more …

DESCRIPTION:Juneteenth honors the emancipation of enslaved people. It refers to June\, 19\, 1865\, the day when Union soldiers arrived in Galveston\, Texas and informed the last enslaved African Americans of their freedom. \nThis year’s #JuneteenthFreedomFestival will be held Saturday\, June 18th. The day will begin with a 10 am meet-up at 5th and Pacific for a “People’s March\,” which will step off at 10:15 am to head down to Evergreen Park. Then\, the Festival will take place at Evergreen Park from 11 am – 3 pm\, with a full program of speakers/entertainment\, a resource fair\, a free cookout\, kids’ activities\, and more!
